What is the Lymphatic System?

The lymphatic system is a network of vessels, organs and tissue. It is responsible for maintaining fluid in the body. It helps collect excess fluid in the body and transports it back to the bloodstream. It also helps defend the body from disease by transporting white blood cells, while filtering out waste products and abnormal cells. It is a critical part of the immune system.
